When Loyverse is a strong choice
- You want to start for free and only pay for add-ons as you grow.
- You're happy to run the POS as a mobile app on iOS or Android.
- You sell only to consumers and don't need e-invoice XML yet.
When Pause POS may fit better
- You want UAE VAT receipts, Arabic and English receipts and PINT-AE e-invoice XML in one plan.
- You have several staff and prefer staff roles included rather than paying per employee.
- You want a full back office for inventory and reporting, built on Odoo.
- You'd like support by WhatsApp and email from a company licensed in the UAE.
Do you need an e-invoice for every sale?
No. UAE e-invoicing currently covers business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) invoices; sales to consumers are out of scope for now. If most of your sales are to walk-in customers, e-invoicing mainly matters for the invoices you issue to other businesses. Large businesses (annual revenue of AED 50 million or more) must go live by 1 January 2027 and everyone else by 1 July 2027.

- Can I keep selling when the internet drops? Which actions don't work offline?

- Are receipts in Arabic and English, with my TRN and a QR code?

Does Loyverse support UAE e-invoicing?
Loyverse's pricing and home pages don't mention UAE e-invoicing (checked 2 October 2026), so ask Loyverse directly. Pause POS generates PINT-AE UBL 2.1 XML for submission through your accredited service provider.
Do both work offline?
Yes, both keep selling without internet. Loyverse's help centre says refunds, new customer registration and integrated card terminals don't work offline. Pause POS saves orders on the device and syncs them automatically when the connection returns.
Can I move from Loyverse to Pause POS?
