Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. If you upgrade, you get immediate access to the new features. If you downgrade, the change applies at the next billing cycle. Your data is always preserved.
Yes, fully bilingual. The entire POS interface, receipts, invoices, reports, and customer-facing displays switch between English and Arabic instantly. Your staff can use English while receipts print in Arabic — or vice versa.
Pause POS supports cash, cards, and split payments out of the box — card payments are recorded against your existing bank terminal. Stripe is used for online/subscription payments. Native UAE gateway integrations (e.g. PayBy) are on our roadmap; check with our team for current availability.
Not yet — native PayBy terminal integration is on our roadmap. Today, card payments are recorded against your existing bank terminal (any provider, including PayBy's own devices), with automatic reconciliation. Ask our team for the current timeline.
Careem Pay checkout integration is on our roadmap and is not yet live. Our omnichannel module does sync Careem Food delivery orders today, which is a separate capability. If Careem Pay checkout is a must-have for your launch, ask our team about current availability before subscribing.
Yes. Pause POS generates PINT-AE UBL 2.1 XML invoices automatically, with sequential numbering (TAXINV-, TXCRN-) and QR codes. Submission to the FTA goes through an accredited service provider (ASP) such as ClearTax or Flick — you choose the ASP and sign up with them separately.
PINT-AE (Peppol International Naming and Numbering - UAE) is the FTA's e-invoicing standard based on UBL 2.1. It becomes mandatory for B2B and B2G transactions in July 2026. Non-compliance can result in penalties of up to AED 5,000 per invoice.
You keep selling. Pause POS has a built-in offline mode that queues orders and payments locally in the browser. When the internet comes back, everything syncs automatically — no lost sales, no duplicate entries, no manual work.
Yes. Pause POS runs on any device with a modern browser — iPads, Android tablets, Windows laptops, Sunmi handhelds (V2, T2, D2), and dedicated POS terminals. No proprietary hardware required. Bring your own device and start selling.
To get started, all you need is a tablet or computer with a browser. Card payments are recorded against your existing bank terminal. Optionally, add a barcode scanner, thermal receipt printer, and cash drawer. Everything works out of the box.
The omnichannel integration (Talabat, Noon Food, Deliveroo — orders, menu sync and inventory in one POS) is built and installed, and we're onboarding pilot customers now. General availability is targeted for Q1 2027. Join the pilot or the launch notification list to be first in line.
Yes. The Growth plan supports up to 3 branches and the Business plan supports unlimited branches, with centralized reporting across all of them while each location operates independently. Starter covers a single location.
Pause POS includes tools to help you meet the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021): consent management, right to erasure, tamper-evident audit trails, role-based access control, and data encryption at rest and in transit.
Every plan includes WhatsApp and email support, Monday to Friday, on a best-effort basis. We also have a knowledge base and video tutorials.
Yes, you can cancel anytime — no contracts. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period. We keep your data for 90 days after cancellation and a full export is available on request. New subscriptions have a 14-day money-back guarantee.
