How it works

Auto-create tickets

When an order is validated at the POS, a kitchen ticket is created automatically. Duplicate prevention — one ticket per order.

Five-state workflow

New (red) → Preparing (orange) → Ready (green) → Served (grey) → Cancelled. Staff tap to advance. Cancel available at any time.

Sound alerts

Two-tone chime on new tickets. Plays once per new batch since last poll. Browser autoplay policy requires one click to enable.

Elapsed time counter

Each ticket shows minutes since creation. Color shifts as it ages so kitchen staff can prioritise.

Filter by terminal

Dropdown at the top of the KDS page to show only tickets for a specific POS config when you run multiple stations.

Optional auto-print

Pair with an ESC/POS thermal printer for a paper ticket as a backup. Toggle in POS config.

Setup in 30 seconds

  2. 2Open your POS config
  3. 3Check 'Kitchen Display'
  4. 4Set 'Prep Time (min)' — default 10
  5. 5Optional: check 'Auto-print Ticket' for paper backup
  6. 6Save. Open /kds on a tablet in the kitchen.
